Move 4 MANA is a Heritage Woods Secondary School student- led initiative that will save the lives of children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in developing countries, and at the same time promote physical activity in our student body.
We send out mana packets to a different developing country each year. Mana stands for mother administered nutritive aid, which is a type of ready to use therapeutic food (RUTF). The packet contains peanut paste, milk powder, and a special mix of vitamins and minerals. The best part is that it tastes like sweet peanut butter, which all the kids love!
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a life that is full and healthy.
Globally there are 16 million children under the age of 5 with SAM. Our mission is to make sure these children don't die from hunger, and give them a chance to live their life.
To see the day when world hunger is no more.
