How does it work?

Participants get active and their actvities/steps are converted to Active Points, then converted into Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) packets. At the end of the challenge, Food for Famine Society donates the earned RUTF packets produced by MANA Nutrition. These containers of RUTF are then shipped from Georgia, USA, with the help of World Vision Canada who organizes the distribution to children suffering from severe acute malnutrition.

Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) is a fortified peanut paste used to treat Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).This life saving treatment contains the necessary vitamins and nutrients a malnourished child would need to become healthy.
